Our Eye Care Clinic

Welcome to ReVision (formerly Hillcrest Eyecare), Simpsonville’s premiere medical eye care facility! Dr. Stevens, Dr. Knox, and their professional staff would like to invite you to experience our comprehensive eye care philosophy: at every encounter we want to exceed your expectations with everything that we do from the moment you walk in the door until you receive your new glasses or contact lenses. Vision care is much more than just seeing well. As your eye doctors, Dr. Stevens and Dr. Knox use thorough vision and eye health exams to help maintain good vision long into the later years of life.

As your optometrists, there are two new areas of care that our eye doctors especially enjoy and seek to emphasize in Simpsonville. The first is children’s eye care – 80% of children’s learning is through their eyes. If visual function is not appropriate, learning can be a real challenge and often leads to the symptoms of ADD/ADHD, simply because the school

causes visual discomfort causing the child to struggle. Dr. Stevens and Dr. Knox recommend that all children have a thorough vision and eye health evaluation by their optometrist before they begin kindergarten.

Secondly, as you medical eye doctors, Drs. Stevens and Knox put an emphasis on the management of eye diseases that affect our aging population. As baby boomers retire, medical care, and especially medical eye care, is becoming increasingly important. Our Doctors have a wealth of experience at managing many of the diseases that affect our eyes as we age such as glaucoma, cataracts, diabetes, and macular degeneration. As your eye doctors, we have invested in the most modern technology at ReVision to facilitate an early diagnosis and treatment of these conditions. This type of specialized care is offered by a very limited number of practices in the entire state of South Carolina.

Many eye diseases and conditions that have an impact on your vision are not evident. Eye care professionals understand how the eye works and can identify conditions and diseases that can have an impact on your vision. They can also isolate the risk factors that influence vision over time and can advise on eyeglasses and contact lenses and how they will benefit you.

Because looking after your eye health is an ongoing cooperation between you and your eye care professional, we encourage you to ask questions and share your health information which is crucial to monitoring, diagnosing and treating potential vision issues. Our optometrists take the time to describe your options and listen to your eye care needs and explain the results of your eye exam.
